I
wrote about the not yet
publicly available Alpha of Qik for Windows Mobile two weeks ago but now
it's your time to test Qik as well. Qik gives away 1,000 Alpha invites to
the::unwired readers (while Qik for Symbian is already publicly available,
Windows Mobile users need an invitation to use Qik at the moment).
With Qik's free live video streaming
service, users can stream live video to the Internet in just two clicks from
their supported Windows Mobile smartphone and join others as they watch online
and engage in live interactive chat.

To join the Qik Alpha you either need a Motorola Q9c, Motorola Q9h Samsung
SGH-i600 or Samsung Blackjack II Windows Mobile Standard smartphone (more
smartphones to be supported soon) and you definitely need a flat data plan in
place and you have to sign-up at
http://qik.com/sign_up
first. After, send an E-Mail with your phone number to
theunwired@qik.com and you will get a
link and activation code from Qik.
Again, the Alpha is currently available for the listed Standard smartphones
above, if you don't have one of these devices, please stay tuned for further
information.
